Many people claim Willy Caballero will go down in Manchester City folk law for his heroic performance in the penalty shootout with Liverpool on Sunday to clinch the Capital One Cup.
Well, we’re not entirely sure about that, but one thing we are sure of is the introduction of his new Ultimate Team card on FIFA 16.
There had been an ever-growing pressure on Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini to drop Caballero after a string of poor performances, however it was the Argentinian that came up trumps at Wembley, as he saved a hat-trick of Liverpool spot kicks.
As a result, EA Sports used its official Twitter account to announce the release of Caballero’s brand new ‘Man of the Match’ card.
This new special edition card is only available in FIFA Ultimate team packs until 1am (UK time) on March 1st.
Caballero secured Manchester City’s first trophy of the season and with the confirmed departure of Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the season, this might well be the last piece of silverware under the Chilean’s command.
Former Barcelona boss, Pep Guardiola, will arrive at the Etihad Stadium at the start of the 2016-17 Premier League season.
